Min Aung Hlaing is back in Bangkok. Former Thai Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra has suggested that ASEAN discuss the earthquake and ceasefire with Min Aung Hlaing. So, the Prime Minister of Malaysia, the rotating chairman of ASEAN, arranged to meet with Min Aung Hlaing in Bangkok. The reason given was to provide relief aid for the earthquake. However, Min Aung Hlaing used the earthquake as a political opportunity to gain influence in ASEAN.
