Today is Chinese New Year. In the past, successive governments in Myanmar did not declare Chinese New Year as a holiday. Now, under the reign of Min Aung Hlaing, for his father China declared it a holiday. Chinese New Year celebrations are not celebrated in this country. Yangon is only crowded around Chinatown.

However, today, a news report came out about Lashio. The MNDAA will withdraw from Lashio in batches and will withdraw by June at the latest, a Chinese representative said at a Chinese New Year celebration in northern Shan. According to reports on the ground, it is almost certain that they will withdraw from Lashio. Currently, Lashio is administered by the MNDAA.
