The AA has taken control of almost the entire Rakhine State and has announced that it is ready to negotiate with the military council, but the council has not yet responded. Meanwhile, the AA offensive has not yet turned to the remaining cities of Sittwe and Kyaukphyu, but is moving towards Magway, Bago, and Ayeyarwady regions.
First, the AA has captured a rebel camp about twenty miles from Ann town, where it is gathering strength to fight back against the Western Military Command. The rebels are gathering strength in that camp, protecting a Chinese oil pipeline. There are still some military council bases in between to reach the Ann Valley Road to Minbu, Magway.
