In Myin Gyan, Mandalay Division , a fight broke out between the military council troops and the PDFs near the port of Semikhone the other day. Since Semikhone Port is an important port on the banks of the Irrawaddy River, both sides tried to control it. About 32 local people, including children from nearby villages, were killed during the fighting. The main cause of death was the excessive firing of heavy weapons from the warships in the river and the army camps on the banks of the river.
