This is only the official price of the airlines, and because there are too many people who want to leave Rakhine State, the black market costs between 800,000 and 1000,000 kyats. According to a recent letter issued by the Military Council, no civilian will be allowed to leave Kyaukphyu City in Rakhine State by air. People with poor health and Only students are allowed. They still need a letter of endorsement to buy a plane ticket. It means that the freedom of travel of the people of Rakhine is further restricted.
What’s worse is that the military council arrests and interrogates tourists returning to Rakhine State from Yangon at the airport.
