At the ongoing ASEAN Summit, new decisions have been made regarding Myanmar affairs. Although it is a new decision, only the five common agreements are still being held. This time, they have said to set a time frame for these five common agreements and to meet with stakeholders including the NUG. Indonesia, which will become the rotating chairman of ASEAN, even started talking about kicking Myanmar out of ASEAN for a while. If we can make sure to implement those two things, it is almost certain that the military council will take even more breaths.
My opinion is that a time will be set, but the time will be discussed for a year. They thought to meet with NUG, but we don’t know exactly when they will meet. As for ASEAN, they are delaying as much as possible. Progress is too slow.
