This year’s UN General Assembly is approaching. Myanmar’s representation will be re-elected. This year, there are not as many domestic and foreign activities for representation as last year. The Military Council has no reason to have Myanmar representation. Their usual outlet has been permanently blocked since Ko Jimmy and team were sentenced to death. As for NUG, this year they gained territorial dominance, but they still have no liberated territories. It is still not easy for NUG to represent Myanmar at the UN. I think U Kyaw Moe Tun will continue to be appointed and this situation will continue for another year. Some Burmese people from both domestic and foreign countries are holding protest rallies for the continued appointment of U Kyaw Moe Tun.
In fact, during this one year, the international community, including the UN, did not effectively help Myanmar. People have come to this situation only because we rely on ourselves. We must continue to rely on ourselves.
