Nationwide, more than 30,000 houses were burned down by the military council. About 20,000 houses in Sagaing Division were burned. Most of the villages are over 2,400 in Palae Township. If you travel in Sagaing region, you will see many ruined villages along the road.
The military council not only burned the villages, but also fired the holders of Sagaing and Magwe registrations. They are pressuring the employers not to hire. In some garment factories in Yangon, workers from Sagaing and Magwe have been fired without any compensation. Most Chinese-owned factories are doing this. The military council and China are shaking hands. The revolution should take some action against this kind of lawless abuse. So that they don’t dare to continue. The cases of dismissals are mainly from Yangon, where it is difficult for local registration holders to register as guests.
