Myingmu Township’s Leppangjin village was also attacked by four helicopters yesterday without any fighting. Soldiers were dropped from the air and raided the village saying that the PDFs were having a meeting. They arrested over a hundred people, including elementary school-aged children, who were studying in the village through a self-supporting education system. There is no reason to have a meeting of PDFs where children are studying. The rebels are violent whenever they want. Today, more than a hundred people who were arrested were released, but about ten villagers were still killed for no reason.
Sagaing is still suffering from the insurgents. Effective protection has not been done yet. Last month, Sagaing Division received nearly 3,000 Lakh to raise funds to support large weapons for the PDF. We can expect to use that money to protect every Sagaing.
