Thingyan has come again. Today is the day before Thingyan. For the people of Burma, Thingyan has not been enjoyed freely for three years in a row. Coup in 2021, Now, in 2022, the whole country is in a civil war.
I have no plans for this year’s Thingyan. Some people travel during the holidays but are not satisfied with the fun they have. In rural areas, people are losing their lives and property on a daily basis. Instead of trying to recover, they wallow in their sadness and thus, experience more failure. I will stay at home for these four days of Thingyan.
