Fighting continues in Kayah State. Fighting last month in the capital, Loikaw, reached the northern Shan-Kayah border town of Moebye. The reason is that the military council is trying to take control of Moebye on the road from Kayah to Naypyidaw using about 200 troops, including armored vehicles. Moebye is important to them as it is only a four-hour drive from Nay Pyi Taw. Armed groups in Kayah State have joined forces to oppose the KNDF-controlled areas of Dimoso. From the very first day, the army used heavy artillery in the evening due to heavy casualties. Some people are trapped in the city. The whole of Kayah State is on the battlefield.
