The military council’s violence is getting worse day by day.
Due to the defense of the people, they are setting fires in areas that are not easy for them to attack. Earlier this morning, insurgents set fire to a neighborhood near Mandalay’s Aung Pin Lay. Fire trucks are not allowed in. Residents who came to put out the fire were also harassed. About 70 houses were destroyed there.
The crackdown on strikes has taken another step forward. Guns and ammunition were fired at unarmed civilians. RPGs are being used and killed. A person was killed and three others were injured in a grenade attack by rebels in Rangoon’s Hlaing Township today. One’s leg was amputated.
In the Kalay City nearby the Indian border, there have been reports of RPGs being used because the people’s protest camp could not be dismantled as usual. Photos came up on social medias. At least three people were killed today in Kalay City as well.
Yangon’s South Dagon Township has been battling insurgents for three days and nights. Later, insurgents fired artillery and mortars into the city to kill unarmed civilians. I don’t know if tanks will be used.
So the UN, US, CRPH will be reluctant to protect the vulnerable people on the ground. If the announcements continue, I would like to request to support arms and guns to defend ourselves.
