The UN has approved U Kyaw Moe Tun as the ambassador to Myanmar. The person proposed by the military council was rejected just like last year. They were afraid that Russia would interfere with making that decision, so they had to delay it. If this is the case, U Kyaw Moe Tun will continue to be a member of the public at the UN for the entire year of 2023. This month, the United Nations Security Council has a meeting to make a resolution on the Myanmar issue. The planned visit to Burma by the ASEAN representative for Myanmar, which Cambodia is responsible for, has been canceled. That trip will be nothing special. For the military council, it will only be able to face continuous international pressure.
