The latest news is that the military council troops who attacked the TLNA camp in northern Shan State have been killed. Fighting has been going on in that area for five consecutive days. In the first days, I thought that the military council troops would be able to attack and capture the TLNA camp easily with airborne troops. This was the initial attack with a force of about a hundred helicopters. But as soon as they reached the ground, they were attacked by TLNA troops. The situation of the military council troops was not good, and another batch of reinforcements was sent from the air to add about fifty reinforcements. All of these forces were trapped in the middle of the TLNA forces, so they provided heavy artillery and air support. There were even about forty attacks by fighter jets. However, after five days of fighting, all the military council troops could not break through and died there.
It seems that the military council thought that it would be convenient to attack the EAO groups with the kind of airlift operation that was successful in Sagaing. In fact, when they met the armed groups with full experience and weapons, they were shocked. Taking this incident as an example, the military council’s air raids in the upper region should be prepared as much as possible. The armed forces in the upper region are not strong yet, but if they can fight back with a good grouping, the rebels will not be able to disperse as much as they think.
