There have been various criticisms of the direction of talks with the military council that NUG president said yesterday. Some say there is no need for dialogue. Some of them have changed the tone of NUG.

In fact, the interim president’s demands are impossible for the military to comply with. It can be assumed that because he asked for the impossible, he was indirectly informed that there is no plan for a meeting. If there is a response from the Fascist military side to this message, it is one thing to think about whether the meeting can actually be held.

Among the demands of the interim president are the necessary points

Transitional justice and ending impunity.

Revolution is very capital intensive. It is difficult to replace the people’s lives and property that they had to pay and give up. If we negotiate with the military, the NUG president will have to make a statement on how to justify the payment waivers.

And in Myanmar, starting with Captain Ne Win, the successive leaders of the Fascist military dictatorship have not been prosecuted for their crimes at all. In the 2008 Constitution Act, they again covered up the crimes committed by fascists with the rule that retroactive action should not be taken. So successive dictatorial criminals have been exempted from punishment for their crimes. This impunity seems to encourage them to repeatedly carry out coups. If the NUG meets with the side army, we should also discuss ending the impunity and allowing the perpetrators to be punished in a court of law.

In summary, meeting and negotiating with the Fascist army is not a good idea. These factors must also be taken into consideration in ending the revolution through dialogue.
