The military under the military coup d’état police, traffic control in many townships in the Irrawaddy Division, are enforcing traffic rules and regulations. It is reported that those arrested have to pay fines ranging from 20,000 to 100,000 MMK depending on the case. In Pathein, they are catching them every day. Arrests are planned, so many people are arrested every day. Sometimes hundreds of motorcycles are arrested in a day.

Actually, they don’t want the civilians to obey the rules. They just need money from the civilians.

When it’s been more than 1 week of arresting motorcycles, the departments under the military council have started arresting not only motorcycles, but also bicycles and slow-moving vehicles.

They tried to arrest many vehicles with many reasons. Due to the military council’s arrests and fines for no reason, the residents of Irrawaddy are afraid to even go out of their homes on motorcycles.
