In the town of Moebyae on the border of Shan Kayah, fighting has been going on for three consecutive days. Last Tuesday, the military council is trying to regain control of the city after the KNDF raided a military council column in Moebyae. About four hundred infantry big weapons, in addition to armored cars the military council used. Kayah State Resistance Army is defending itself as they are attacking in large numbers using airstrikes. Although the military council side is better armed, the situation is not good as usual. There were about fifty casualties in three days.
The military council continued to attack Moe Byae last July. At that time, it was not successful. No matter how good the weapons are, the soldiers fighting on the main ground are already demoralized. The 66th Army, which is patrolling Kayah State, is almost disorganized due to the casualties of the entire division. Only two battalion commanders were left intact, and the rest of the battalion commanders died. The wounded are gone. Now the military council is working to reassign the 66th Army from Kayah State to another division. I don’t think there will be an appointment as there are battles going on all over the country.
