Last week in Pauk Township, Magway Division, PDFs seized three trailers carrying raw materials to be shipped to the military council weapons factory. They also captured seven rebels who came with trailers. This was a great embarrassment to the military council, and the military immediately sought to retrieve the people and their belongings. Unconventional villages around the area are now being set on fire, and now about ten villages have been burnt down. In some villages, villagers were burned alive. Local PDFs are also heavily defended. The raw materials for the weapons on the trailers have been removed from the PDFs.
After the end of the case of the central bank deputy governor in Rangoon, the next phase of the operation was launched named Nan Htike Aung. At the beginning, a military officer from Lanmadaw Township was dead. The military council’s water park in front of City Hall was also blown up. The NUG has declared the operation to be a “urban guerrilla operation” in all of lower Burma.
