Earlier this month, insurgents launched a series of airstrikes across the country. Helicopters and airplanes are coming from all over Karen, Kayah and Sagaing. The infantry on the ground will not be able to attack at all.
But as is customary for insurgents, airstrikes are also targeting civilian targets. It is the worst in Sagaing Division. Villages were set on fire for no apparent reason in areas where the revolution was strong, such as Htee Chaing, Wetlet, Pearl, and Yinmarpin. Many local people were killed and injured. The fact that the revolutionary forces could not fight back was quite harsh. It’s time to find a solution to the military council’s chaotic airstrikes.
