Due to the current ceasefire in Kayah State, some IDPs have returned to their homes. The town was devastated, with corpses shot dead by insurgents on the side of the road, and houses on the main road were destroyed. Undamaged houses were also burglarized. At a school in the city, the rebels tied the civilians’ hand to the back and shot to die, International media reports that the village was set on fire yesterday.
