UN announces emergency closed-door meeting for Myanmar. This is the third Burma dialogue in two months. This time it is expected that a resolution will emerge, not statements.
These days, international community organizations, former leaders, twelve countries, most of which are EU member states, have called for Myanmar to join R2P.
However, R2P cannot be expected at the next UNSC meeting. There are still China and Russia.
