Early yesterday morning, the military and Pyu Saw Htee camps near the western townships of Min Hla, Zee Kone, Letpadan, and Nattalin in Bago Region were attacked simultaneously by the rebel forces. Some of the Pyu camps were burned and destroyed and they retreated.
Today, 14 military camps on the old Yangon-Mandalay road in eastern Bago Region were simultaneously attacked and captured. During the fighting, many rebels were killed in the military camps and reinforcements from nearby towns were also attacked and destroyed.
The sudden operations were carried out by the PDF forces under the NUG, and the rebel forces announced that they wanted to disrupt the upcoming elections in Bago Region as much as possible.
