The joint forces of the revolution began attacking Katha town on the border of Kachin State and Sagaing Region yesterday. Groups such as KIA, NUG PDF, ABSDF are fighting together. Katha town is a land and water gateway to Kachin State and is strategically important. In addition, the towns of Bayan Bu and Intaw around Katha town have been occupied by the revolution forces. Fighting is also fierce in the upper town of Bhamo. The fighting in Katha town has also become part of the military campaign during the election period of the Military Commission.
