On the night of the full moon night of Thadingyut, the military junta bombed and killed people who were lighting lamps on the border of Monywa and Chaung-U townships in Monywa, Monywa district, Sagaing Region. The military junta dropped two 120-mm bombs from a machine gun from the Northwestern Military District Headquarters in Monywa town. It is reported that 20 people were killed and more than 40 were injured in the bombing. The death toll may increase due to severed limbs and bodies not knowing where to pick them up.
