In northern Shan State, the Military Commission is launching a massive offensive against Kyaukme. The offensive against Moekot has been halted in order to capture Kyaukme. However, Moekot is being bombed frequently, threatening the people. The Military Commission’s Kyaukme offensive is now about ten miles from the city. The TLNA is also putting up fierce resistance. The military is currently busy repairing the damaged Gotdwin and Gottchek bridges on the Mandalay-Lashio highway. If these bridges are repaired, the military will be able to transport more reinforcements and weapons. If that happens, the military will be able to capture Kyaukme.
