The military junta bombed a tourist convoy on the Sagaing-Shimaka-Kyauk Myaung strategic road in Sagaing Township with five fighter jets about 20 times, killing 16 people and injuring about 20 others. The convoy was trapped in Sagaing Township due to the military’s military incursion. While it was trapped, five fighter jets bombed it randomly. The convoy also included fuel tankers, causing heavy casualties. The bodies scattered near the burning fuel tankers on the road could not even be picked up. Some of the bodies were badly damaged.
The military junta has been bombing civilians for a long time. However, this is the first time that it has bombed a trapped civilian convoy indiscriminately. The brutality of the military junta has reached its peak.
