The warship group that has been preparing for a landing in Thabeik Kyin has continued to advance, passing the towns of Htet Cheung and Katha. It is reported that the warships unloaded ammunition and supplies from the ships as they reached Htet Cheung and Katha townships. The advancing warship group is being attacked by the Kachin Independence Army (KIA) and the People’s Defense Force (PDF) above Katha township. Due to the attack, four aircraft from Mandalay and Myitkyina have been continuously bombing the area. The warship groups are more vulnerable to attack the higher they reach the narrower parts of the river.
