Another junta fighter jet crashed in the Pa Saung Township of Karenni State. The junta said that one of its planes had lost contact in the area, but local rebel groups found the plane wreckage in the forest. The rebel groups said that the plane was the one that dropped bombs during the battle for Pa Saung. Since it was a cheap Chinese-made fighter jet, the junta’s losses were not significant. However, in three months, they have lost four helicopters and fighter jets. In Pa Saung, the rebels have captured one of the two junta battalions and are still fighting the other.
