The International Labour Conference has decided to take action against the military council and Myanmar under ILO Article 33, which has seized power through violence. The decision was made to impose severe sanctions on the Myanmar military council under ILO Article 33 for its forcible conscription of young people and workers into the military and for violating workers’ rights and human rights. Article 33 is the ILO’s highest level of sanctions. This action will result in many sanctions against the military council. Sanctions will be imposed worldwide, including from the European Union. However, I doubt whether it will really hurt the military council
