The military council, which has been continuously bombing the people during Thingyan, will continue to bomb after Thingyan. On April 18, the military regime bombed the village of Laek Kyat on the Mandalay-Mogok highway with fighter jets, killing 13 civilians, including a one-month-old baby, and injuring many others. On the afternoon of April 19, the military regime bombed the shops in the village of Yethik, just a few miles from Laek Kyat, killing around 30 civilians, including children, and burning down some shops and houses. During the bombing of Yethik, a bomb exploded on a petrol station, killing dozens of civilians, including children, and the bodies have not been collected to this day, and the military regime is said to have bombed and killed those who were collecting and cleaning the bodies. The military junta had bombed the area on April 16 during Thingyan, but since there were no casualties, the following days they targeted crowded shopping malls.

The military junta also bombed the villages of Laek Kyaw and Ye Tit, which were mass-killed, as well as Nyaung Pin Tha and Kyauk Pa villages on the Mandalay-Mogok road, at around 1:30 p.m. on April 20. It is not known whether there were any casualties or damage. The areas where 40 people, including children, were killed were bombed for the third day today.

Since early April, the military junta has been carrying out airstrikes on villages in Tha Beik Kyin Township, forcing some villagers to flee their homes and into the mountains. While the National Unity Government (NUG) and other rebel groups have declared a ceasefire to help rescue the people affected by the earthquake that has killed thousands of people in the country, the military regime is increasingly bombing and killing towns and villages.
