A passenger car was used as a human shield by the military council on the Monywa-Mandalay road in Sagaing Division.
Today, two military council armored vehicles were ambushed by the revolutionary groups on that road. The road was closed during the fighting, so the passenger vehicles were stopped. At that time, the rebels arrived and took a passenger vehicle full of passengers in the front into the fighting area and used it as a human shield. When the fighting stopped for a while, the PDFs rescued the passengers from the car. However, at that time, the rebels dropped bombs and parachutes near the car, killing a child and a mother. The two armored vehicles were destroyed in the fighting, but some people lost their lives because the rebels used them as human shields.
The military council denied that the incident was done by the PDFs. But the truth cannot be hidden. Rebels often use civilians as human shields during fighting in the country, but this time it became public.
