What has improved in these four years is the military situation of the revolutionary forces. Since the start of the November 10, 2023 military operation, the military council has been able to continuously exert military pressure, and now the revolutionary forces have occupied 93 cities across the country. There are more than three hundred cities in the country, which means they can occupy about a third. In addition, they have controlled at least half of the country’s area. According to surveys, the military council can only control about a hundred cities.

Although there has been progress in the military field, there has been little progress in the political field. Many armed groups have broken up in the country and have not yet been able to unite. They are conducting their own military operations on their own. The situation of the NUG has also not improved significantly. They are unable to organize other EAOs. The lack of progress in the political field has already begun to have significant consequences. The revolutionary forces are not recognized by the international community. China has significantly sided with the military council. If this issue is not corrected this year, it may become very difficult for the revolution to succeed.
