Today, the last New Year’s Eve of 2024 is celebrated all over the world. In Myanmar, we cannot celebrate in a big way due to our own heat. The military council is holding a New Year’s countdown party in Yangon, but I don’t think anyone will go because they will be dragged away. The upper class is holding private countdown parties in famous hotels. The common people are celebrating the New Year in their homes. I just pray that we will be free from the military dictatorship in the new year.
