In Yangon, a man robbed a beauty shop in Bahan Township at around 8 am and stabbed the shopkeeper. The victim resisted and was stabbed, and the woman died of her injuries. The suspect has not been found. In Mandalay, a Naga Palace jewelry store near Diamond Plaza was robbed at around 8:50 am today, and 1 viss of gold and 3,000,000 kyats were stolen.
In Monywa, Sagaing Region, a woman driving a car was shot four times and her car was stolen this morning. The suspects are being sought by the Monywa Township Public Security Bureau.
The three cities where the crimes took place were Yangon, Myanmar’s commercial capital, and Mandalay, Myanmar’s second capital. Both cities are controlled by the military council. Monywa, the capital of Sagaing Region, is controlled by both the revolutionary forces and the military council. In Mandalay, this time, the city center was robbed three times in eight days.
