In Chin State, where fighting used to be sporadic, major battles have been intensifying in recent months. Both Chin groups in Chin State are conducting joint operations against the military council forces.
The Chin Nyinaung group in southern Chin has been fighting the Mindat and Falam forces and has reported some success. No details have been released. In northern Chin, the Chin State Council is trying to capture Thantlang. In addition, it is competing with the military council to control the road between the capital Hakha and Thantlang. At present, the Chin rebel groups are in control of that road. Only two places in Thantlang are left where the military council forces are stationed. This period can be said to be the most intense period of revolutionary warfare in Chin State since the beginning of the Spring Revolution.
