The KNU has captured the military council’s artillery hill near Lay Kay Kaw town. As a result, the Lay Kay Kaw area is now free of rebels. It took more than 2 months to capture the artillery hill. While the northern city was captured, the southern area was being prepared to capture the artillery hill.
In addition, the military council has revived the Aung Zeya line that was stopped on Dauna Mountain. It has been replenished with manpower and has resumed its march. However, due to resistance from the revolutionary forces, it has not made as much progress as they expected.
