The commander of the Thantlang CDF was killed in the ongoing battle to capture Thantlang town in Chin State. It is understood that the explosion was caused by an artillery shell fired by the military council troops during the battle. The Chin resistance forces are fighting to completely capture Thantlang town, and only two military council positions remain in the town.
In Ann, Rakhine State, AA forces are gradually approaching the town. The AA has captured a battalion about 3 miles from the Western Command. The headquarters is also being regularly fired at with artillery.
In Kachin State, the KIA has completely taken control of Sing Taung village near Hpakant town. The last remaining resistance in the village, the Lekki Hotel, has been destroyed by the rebels. In addition, the offensive continues towards Panwa town in the upper part of the state.
