Severe floods are occurring in Nay Pyi Taw, where the Military Council is headquartered. Nay Pyi Taw, Zeyathiri Township, The water is rising in Pyumana and Tatkone townships, many villages are flooded and people are trapped. Because of the strong current, boats cannot cross over the trees. People on the roof are sharing packed lunches. On Facebook, many requests for help from flood victims have spread.

Similarly, due to the heavy rains, water has been released at Samong Dam and Kinta Dam in Wundwin Township, Mandalay Region, and many villages below the dam are flooded.

Heavy rain has been falling in the eastern and central regions of Myanmar since yesterday due to the clouds and whirlwinds created by the speed of the storm Yagi in the South China Sea.
