The situation in Karen State, where KNU, the only major EAO in southern Myanmar, is based, is not very encouraging. As I have written before, race and self-interest are involved in the revolution. For now, except for the Dona taung area near Myawati, where the Military Council’s Aung Zeya column is located, it is calm in other areas. To improve the military situation in Karen State, the BGF must be eliminated first. Unless the BGF can be eliminated or won over to its side, it is impossible to fight the Military Council. So far, KNU has not seen any signs of solving anything. It looks like it will be the same for a long time. Therefore, the current military situation can only be expected in the west and the north, and the situation in the south is not very bad.
