In Rakhine State, not long after the rebels massacred the villagers of Byai Phyu in Sittwe town, an aerial bombardment of Sinkhok village in Thandwe town killed many locals. The village that was bombed was a large fishing village with about 1,000 houses, and nearly 100 innocent people died due to the bombing for two consecutive days. This is the first mass killing by the military council in the war-torn southern Rakhine state. Most of the villagers tried to flee as fighting broke out near the village, but the military council did not allow them to leave the village. The locals were brutally bombed and killed after being used as human shields.

There is a fierce battle between the rebels and the AA troops around the town of Thandwe. Because of the interests of the military council on Ngapali beach in that city, they did not give up the city easily, and the naval support, and Air force shooting aid They resisted desperately using heavy weapons. Some residents of the city have already fled to safety. Due to the military council closing Thandwe Airport, traffic in other cities has almost been cut off. The AA Army is continuously attacking the military council camps around the city.
