The KIA has taken control of the Sino-Myanmar border trade town in Kachin State. In the past few days, after the KIA captured military council camps along the Van Maw Sejel highway one by one, the KIA troops arrived near Sejel. The military council camps on that road are almost gone, and only one large strategic camp, Sein Longtaung, remains. The KIA could easily capture the military council troops on the city of Sejal, but I heard that China on the other side of the border would not allow it. China seems to want the border trade city to remain in the hands of the military council. So the KIA forces entered the city without firing a gun and took control of the city. The military council members in the city did not dare to move. They tried to apply for asylum in China, but they heard that China would not allow them. In this situation, the members of the military council in the city were out of the hands of the KIA, so they could easily control the city.
