In Mandalay and Magwe, village administrators who were calling for military service were shot dead after the revolutionary groups issued warnings not to act according to the military council. In Salin Township, Magway Region, an administrator who was shouting for military service with a loudspeaker was shot dead, and a similar administrator was shot dead in Salin Township, Mandalay Region. Revolutionary groups in those areas have warned the governors of other villages not to do the same.
After such governors were shot, governors in some regions also submitted their resignations. In Thandwe Town, Rakhine State, 21 village chiefs have submitted their resignations because the military council is forcing the chiefs to serve in the military. If the revolutionary groups really do it, the governors in the areas where they do it will certainly avoid it. No one can sacrifice their life to work for the military council.
