A leader of the TNLA has confirmed that the Ta-ang Army (TNLA) has attacked and captured the town of Namsan in northern Shan State. The TNLA began the battle to capture Namsan on December 10th and was able to take control of the city in about a week. The military army is still chasing them from the air. From December 10th, TNLA started occupying the Kadai Phu mountain camp near Namkhe village of Namsan Township, and on December 11th, Namsan Police Station, They attacked and occupied the camp of Namsan Good Shop. In addition, the military council’s Shwe Phi Oo tea factory camp in Namsan was also attacked and captured in the evening of December 13. Then continued to attack the last remaining Namsan Military Council strategic camp, and now has gained the camp and is in complete control of the city.
The military council army is trying to prevent the destruction of the camps in Namsan. Although they received heavy weapons for help, they had to give up their camps and the military council troops were killed and injured. TLNA reported that three local residents were killed and more than 30 homes were damaged due to air strikes and heavy weaponry by the Military Council during the battle to capture Namsan. In addition, the three northern allies are attacking the 105-mile trading post of Muse. The Northern Alliance forces are already threatening Muse, the largest city on the Chinese border in northern Shan State.
