The United States has begun sanctioning MOGE, one of the main sources of income for the Military Council, last night. The measure will come into effect on December 15. However, this sanction is only focused on MOGE’s finances, so it is not yet a comprehensive sanction. In any case, an issue that all Myanmar activists have been consistently demanding has begun to materialize. As for the military council, it was once again tied to its neck when it was suffering a crushing defeat in the battles in the north of Shan.
Talking about the battles in the north of Shan, the military council troops that had prepared defenses near Pyin U Lwin reinforced their forces and marched today to re-attack Nung Cho town. It is no longer easy for the Military Council to retake control of Pyin Oo Lwin area, even Nungcho City, let alone recapture the entire northern part of Hasham. In order to replenish the forces, almost the entire country of Myanmar has an open military front, so it is not possible to extract a large number of forces from any region. The military council is already in trouble with the 1027 operation of the 3 northern brothers. It will be worse if new fronts are opened on the other side of the country at this time. The revolutionary forces are proclaiming that they will come in waves.
