Burma’s southernmost Tanintharyi Division, in Dawei Prison, prison officials were charged with drugs, after being arrested on weapons charges, the military is under direct rule. The army found marijuana in the house of the deputy prison owner. Dawei Prison, which covers an area of more than 2 acres, can only hold about 600 prisoners, but after the military coup, there are more than a thousand prisoners.
