A news came up this morning. President U Win Myint and Daw Aung San Suu Kyi were granted amnesty. When we carefully read the announcement issued by the military council, it was not an amnesty, but some of the punishments were reduced. I see that the punishments that are reduced are the punishments that are about to be released. Daw Aung San Suu Kyi was sentenced to a total of 33 years in prison, which was reduced to only five years according to this announcement. The military group wanted to gain a good reputation, so they did it for a week. When they do that, no one recognizes them. Calls for the unconditional release of President U Win Myint and Daw Aung San Suu Kyi grew louder.
