Today is Martyr’s Day. The military held the Martyrs’ Day ceremony in Yangon with tight security. Daw Aung San Suu Kyi was not allowed to attend the ceremony. Today in Yangon, the military group has closed many roads.
In the areas controlled by the revolutionary groups, each celebrated the Martyrs’ Day in their own way. Just this July last year, Jimmy Ko and Zeya Thaw were unjustly sentenced to death. They are not alone. During this great period, martyrs appeared in pain. We must work hard to make this revolution a success so that what they sacrificed is not in vain.
