A high school principal and two labourers are arrested at the entrance to Minhla town for alleged involvement in the Civil Disobedience Movement.
The military council’s armed forces arrested a high school principal and two labourers in Magwe Region’s Minhla Township on the morning of March 11, according to residents.
Win Aung Nyein, the principal of the high school in Htangaing village, was taken into custody by security forces at a shop near the entrance gate to Minhla town at around 8:00 a.m. on Thursday. He was reportedly arrested due to his participation in the Civil Disobedience Movement’s (CDM) general strike.
At the same gate to Minhla, armed personnel arrested two men in their early 20s– Kaung Myat Phyo and Aung Ko– after demanding to look through their phones in search of evidence suggesting support for or involvement in the CDM.
