Three PDFs who treated in a hospital in Mae Sot, Thailand were arrested by the Thai authorities and handed over to the military council. When they were arrested, the NUG tried to free them, but the Thai authorities refused and handed them over. It is reported that one person died after being shot while trying to escape when transferred. If they were transferred in hands of the military council, everything will be lost. They will be tortured and killed. In this case, the actions of the Thai authorities threated to Myanmar citizens who refuge in Thailand. The NUG negotiated with Thai officials to prevent a similar incident from happening again. However, Thailand’s position had gradually shifted to the side of the military council.
