The military council announced the dissolution of the NLD party due to the election law they had enacted. In that law, it enacted that any party didn’t participate in election, that party will automatically be void. In the mock election of the military council, none of the prominent parties on the people’s side contested.
Like the NLD, the SNLD party from Shan State, which is the third largest party, did not participate to the election. Only the parties, which followed the military council, re-registered. However, they had registered their party, the military council had not even announced the date of the fake election exactly. There was obvious that this was a big lie.
